Quick start

You can be up and running with LumiGEO in under 5 minutes. Here's the fastest path:

  1. Create your account at app.lumigeo.com/signup
  2. Add your first site and select your CMS
  3. Click Run Scan
  4. Review the generated fixes and click Deploy
Tip

You can also use the AI Agent — just type "scan my site and fix what you can" and it will handle everything end-to-end.

Connecting your site

LumiGEO connects to your CMS via a lightweight integration. Go to Settings → Integrations and select your platform.

Supported CMS platforms:

  • WordPress — install the LumiGEO plugin from the WordPress Plugin Directory
  • Shopify — install from the Shopify App Store and authorise access
  • Webflow — connect via OAuth in the integrations panel
  • HubSpot — connect via OAuth; supports CMS Hub pages
  • Custom / API — use our REST API to push fixes to any platform
Note

LumiGEO requires write access to deploy fixes. If you prefer, you can use Advisor Mode to generate fixes without deploying — you can copy and paste them manually.

Your first scan

Once your site is connected, click Run Scan from the dashboard. A full scan typically takes 30 seconds to 3 minutes depending on the size of your site.

The scan checks your site against 50+ technical SEO rules and tests your GEO visibility across 6 AI engines. Results are grouped by severity: High, Medium, and Low.

Approving and deploying fixes

After a scan, each issue will have an AI-generated fix ready. You can:

  • Deploy all safe fixes — one click deploys all low-risk fixes (meta descriptions, alt text, schema markup)
  • Review individually — read and edit each fix before approving
  • Skip — mark a fix as skipped if you'd prefer to handle it manually

Rolling back changes

Every deployed fix is logged in the Audit Log (Settings → Audit Log). To roll back any change, click the fix in the log and select Rollback. The change will be reverted within seconds.

GEO score explained

Your GEO score is a 0–100 measure of how well your site is optimised for AI search citation. It's calculated based on:

  • Presence and quality of structured data (schema markup)
  • FAQ content that matches common query patterns
  • Semantic clarity of headings and body content
  • Actual citation rate observed across tracked AI engines

A score above 70 indicates strong GEO visibility. Below 40 suggests significant opportunities for improvement.

Schema markup

LumiGEO automatically generates and deploys the following schema types:

  • Organization, WebSite, WebPage
  • Article, BlogPosting
  • Product, Offer (for e-commerce)
  • FAQPage (high impact for GEO)
  • BreadcrumbList, HowTo

Schema is generated from your existing content — LumiGEO does not invent information. You can review and edit any generated schema before deployment.

Using the AI Agent

The AI Agent is available in the bottom-right of your dashboard. It has full context of your site, scan history, and fix queue. Example prompts:

# Scan and fix
"Scan my site and fix anything you can safely."

# GEO-specific
"Why isn't my homepage being cited by Perplexity?"
"Add FAQ schema to my top 5 pages by traffic."

# Reporting
"What changed this week?"
"Show me my GEO score history for the past month."
